I MAY BE DYING

So in the past 48 hours, I've gotten about 4 hours of sleep total. Those 4 hours came from two nights ago, because last night I didn't sleep at all... I laid in bed and kind of drifted into that weird state where you're still awake but you're in your head, and time goes by really quickly.

To make a long story short I've been cramming to finish the last of my assignments before winter break (TOMORROW NIGHT!!!). Last night I had to write a 7 page essay, but because I had gotten so little sleep the night before, I was feeling pretty drowsy. So I decided to resort to something I never ever do, which is consume an energy drink.

So I went to the store down the street and looked at their selection... Red Bull, Rock Star and NOS. I've tried Red Bull before, and I couldn't stop gagging. It tasted awful. Scratch that one. A kid back in high school who wore cowboy boots, had a Bush/Cheney sticker on his binder, and decorated a class project of his with beer cans, bullet casings, and another Bush/Cheney sign used to drink Rock Star... so scratch that one too. And that is how I was left with NOS energy drink.

I should have known I was getting myself into some shit when I saw that there was an actual WARNING LABEL on the can. It read, "CAUTION: POWERFUL. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CHILDREN OR PREGNANT WOMEN."

But I had an essay to do, and one night to do it... so down goes the drink.

Good news? The essay got done, and that was the last bit of work I had to do for the semester.

Bad news? It is now 7:23 AM, and I attempted to sleep but failed horribly. Currently, my eyeballs are throbbing in their sockets and feel like paperweights. Numerous muscles through out my body, particularly in my neck and shoulders are refusing to stop twitching every 5 seconds. I am developing an acute headache that borders on nausea if I move my head too quickly, and most of all my body is exhausted but my mind WILL NOT shut down.

Oh yeah, and I have class in an hour and a half.

The moral of the story kids?

Steer CLEAR away from consuming anything that is named after a brand of Nitrous Oxide, used to boost cars during races, and made famous in the Fast And The Furious movies.
