CHESTER WALLACE

I'm definitely not the type of guy that is afraid of carrying a bag, in fact I've always had a real appreciation for them from a function and style standpoint. I probably inherited it from my father, who always has a great looking bag that's suited perfectly for the occasion.

Lately I've been borrowing his Chester Wallace tote for transporting my laptop and reading materials every morning to work the Jelly Generation show. It's got a cool shape that can be carried in its elongated form by the handles, or folded down to make use of the shoulder strap.

Chester Wallace bags are made by Portland designer Patrick Long who named his canvas tool bag inspired line after his grandfather. They're sturdy as hell, made with heavy weight cotton, a reinforced bottom and nylon handles. I love the flap pockets on either side and the contrasting color handles/strap.

Oh and for the insecure tough guy afraid of what his bros might say when they see you with your "purse", you might be comforted in knowing that Chester Wallace bags happen to be designed to perfectly fit a 6-pack of beer. Crack a brewski for functional fashion.

JELLY GENERATION

Last Thursday, the art exhibition my family's creative studio has been working on finally opened at the Goldsmith Gallery in Chinatown, Portland. The show, JELLY GENERATION, features the work of over 30 young Chinese artists, designers and photographers, and was curated by my father. Be sure to come check it out.

Here is some cool press from The Oregonian:

MEEKS

For the past month, I've been fortunate enough to wake up every morning to go work and play with amazing people in amazing places like this:

JUSTICE VIDEO

My buddy Bryan Schlam was production manager on the new Justice/Lenny Kravitz music video. The concept is a fake movie credits sequence, so thanks to Bryan look for some familiar names scrolling across the screen...
